Inside North Carolina
The State Health Plan's local provider network for the PPO will be managed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. To locate a doctor or hospital near you, use the BCBSNC PPO Plan Provider Search.
Outside North Carolina
The State Health Plan's out-of-state provider network for the PPO will be managed by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association BlueCard® (PPO) program. To locate a provider outside of North Carolina, click here. If you are a Member, select the Member tab and enter the first three letters of the Identification Number on your ID card. If you are not a member, or do not know your number, select the Guest tab and select BlueCard PPO as the product type.
Out of the Country
If you need to obtain health care outside of the United States, just go to a local provider and submit your claims later for reimbursement.
